Listening to Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," with its moody minors and grab bag of sharps, is like turning through page after suspenseful page of a forlorn Romantic era novel.

Its timeless, love forsaken quality has made it a memorable and distinct song that has been used in many a Hollywood movie. Grow your own Beethoven hands by watching this piano tutorial on how to play Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" in C# minor.

Notes to the left of the slash are what the left hand plays and what's right of the slash are what the right hand plays. Notes that are together with no commas in between are to be played together (as can be seen by octaves in the left hand). If there is a dash to the left of the slash, nothing is played in the left hand. When there is a x2 or x4 with the notes, only the right hand is to be played that many times.
